Mogherini and Hahn meets with WB leaders in New York

The EU is stepping up its support to all partners towards irreversible progress on the European integration path by the end of our mandate, EU foreign policy and security chief Federica Mogherini and Enlargement Commissioner Johannes Hahn said after a meeting with Western Balkan leaders on the fringes of the UN General Assembly session in New York.

“We reconfirmed the unequivocal support of the EU for the enlargement perspective of the Western Balkans, as most recently expressed both at the level of the European Council as well as by the President of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker.”

The meeting was attended by President Filip Vujanović of Montenegro, President Aleksandar Vučić of Serbia, President of Kosovo Hashim Thaçi, Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency Chairman Dragan Čović and Albanian and Macedonian PMs Edi Rama and Zoran Zaev.
